I once again packed up all my possessions into three bags(which was much harder this time since I had done some shopping) and I set off to move to Sisaket. From Hua Hin I took a bus to Bangkok. I met with my agent who represents me at the school and then spent my afternoon at the mall with a friend before taking a motorbike taxi(exhilarating and terrifying!) back to the bus station and then an overnight bus to Sisaket.
Sisaket is in Northeastern Thailand very close to the border; Cambodia is to the south and to the east is Laos. It’s a small city way out in the country. My agency put me up in a hotel for a week but I was eager to unpack and get settled in so within a couple days I had found myself an apartment. It felt so good to unpack and not be living out of my suitcase. I went to the Big C superstore to get some apartment essentials and the place really started to feel like a home.
I stood out on my balcony admiring the view and reminding myself that this is real. I live in Thailand. I’m starting to get used to it but there are still moments when I have to pinch myself. I’m fond of my little one room apartment and even of the little lizard that crawls in through the air con. I like Sisaket so far as well and I still have a lot of exploring to do but I was about to be busy because I started teaching the very next day.
Ahh amazing!! I vote for pictures of the view from your apartment and the town! Are those coming??

I will get right on it! I’ve taken a few photos from my balcony but I will take some of my street and my walk to school tomorrow!
