New Years in Krabi, Thailand
Waiting to get on the boat
Climbing aboard! Our boat driver told us his name was Jack Sparrow! Haha
Beautiful ladies! Before we got soaked with ocean spray
Kind of cloudy but still gorgeous
Behind those rocks is where we swam with the bioluminescent plankton
Didn’t realize until I looked at the photo later how phallic this is haha
Exploring the jungle path we found
Looking back over Tonsai Beach
This is the ‘path’ we followed
My adventure buddy, Jenna
Beach town shops, I love how Thailand builds around nature rather than disturb it
A tree growing into the cliffside
So many monkeys
The little ones were chasing each other and playing
There was a whole hoard of monkeys running around on this one path!
We walked through a cave in this rock to get to a small pool
This is the pool where we later swam with the bioluminescent plankton!
Jenna and I were the scouts who found the place with the plankton
It was the last night of Channukah
Our neighbors on the beach made a sand menorah!
There was a shrine to penises and we all lit some incense
That one on the front almost looks like a cat haha
I’m one of the shortest and standing in the back…
I just love these wonderful people
Railay Beach at low tide
Watching the sunset New Years Day was spectacular
Julie and I kayaking.
The hidden lagoon
Ready to hike back up!
Hiking back up…this rocky incline was incredibly steep. At times there were ropes that you had to actually use to rock climb and pull yourself up. That’s my friend, Max, on the left for some scale.
